Updated Terms & Conditions – September 2025
Dear Parents & Carers,
We’re thrilled to welcome you and your child to the Starlight Dance Studios family. Below you'll find key information to help you settle in and understand how we operate. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Class Enrolment
After your child completes their taster sessions, their place at Starlight Dance Studios is automatically confirmed. If you no longer wish to take up this place, please let us know promptly so we can offer it to another dancer.
Children in our Mini Stars class are welcome to bring a standard-sized teddy bear for comfort during lessons — we love a little extra cuddly confidence!
Payments & Subscriptions
All lesson fees are collected via Class 4 Kids on the 1st of each month. To complete your registration, please set up your Class4Kids account.
Our fees are calculated over a 44-week teaching year but spread evenly across 12 months for simplicity:
• Refunds are not issued for missed classes or holidays.
• If your child will be absent for more than three weeks, please inform us — extended absence may result in loss of placement.
• In the event of unforeseen disruptions (e.g., venue closures), we will offer alternative arrangements.

Contemporary Dance
To help children focus and flourish, we kindly ask parents to wait outside the classroom during lessons.
Exams & Performances
We proudly offer dance examinations through the United Kingdom Alliance (UKA).
• Exam invoices are issued in advance and payable via bank transfer.
• After each exam, we host a celebratory Presentation Day where pupils receive their awards.
For dancers in Shining Stars and above, we also stage exciting dance shows.
• Costumes are available to hire, with invoices sent out well ahead of time.
Uniform Requirements
After four weeks of joining, all pupils are expected to wear the correct uniform. Orders can be placed via our website or at class (cash or card accepted). Uniforms typically arrive within one week.

Photography & Media Consent
Occasionally, we capture photos and videos for promotional use on our website and social media.
• Please ensure you’ve completed the photography consent section on your registration form.
• Parents are kindly reminded not to take photos or videos during classes unless all involved families have given consent.
Staff Qualifications
All teachers and trainee teachers hold relevant qualifications, enhanced DBS checks, paediatric first aid, and full insurance. These documents are available for review upon request.

If your contact information changes (e.g., phone number or address), please notify us as soon as possible so we can stay in touch.
Data Protection & Privacy
We take your privacy seriously. Your data is stored securely and only shared with our exam board for exam purposes. By registering, you agree to:
✔ Your contact details being stored for emergency use
✔ Your data remaining private and not shared beyond our exam board
✔ Secure deletion of your data if your child leaves the school
✔ Receiving updates via text, call, email, WhatsApp, or Facebook
